An unique gift

My sister, bless her heart, gave me an unique gift this Christmas.....It is called a "Clinging Cross".

It was designed by a Christian artist named Jane Davis, and the story is that God gave her this design to help her during a death of a loved one. It fits into the hands of anyone who trys.....in my case it's the left hand.

My sister got it because it made her think of me and how I'm always talking about God. At least I've made the right impression.

But there was a poem that accompanied the cross and I liked it to the point that I thought I'd post it here.

I have been trying to get back into the grove of writing on my blog and posting the stories to the other sites I write upon, but life has a way of burying one under it when the storms are raging. And they have been raging at full fury since Christmas. And I have found that I cannot write unless I have a focus upon God.

There is a silence in Heaven lately for me as I struggle through this valley of darkness........I would covet prayers.

Clinging Cross....

When my mind is fuzzy and my eyes are dim with tears,
I need to feel Your presence, Lord, and know that You are near.

When my heart is racing and my thoughts have such a sting,
I tightly grasp this little cross and prayerfully I cling.

It's not a magic piece--this cross Your father planned,
But when I cling to it, I feel Your nail-scarred hand.
